MARK BEESON is an adjunct professor at the University of Technology Sydney and Griffith University. He was previously professor of international politics at the University of Western Australia. Before joining UWA, he taught at Murdoch, Griffith, Queensland, York (UK) and Birmingham, where he was also head of department. He is the founding editor of Critical Studies of the Asia Pacific. His latest book is Environmental Anarchy? International Security in the 21st Century (Bristol University Press, 2021). VINCE SCAPPATURA teaches Politics and International Relations at Macquarie University. His research interests include Australian and American foreign policies, the international relations of the Asia-Pacific, and Middle East politics. He is a member of the Independent and Peaceful Australia Network (IPAN) and a supporter of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN).
