Are You A First Generation NM Supporter?

New Matilda needs your help to stay online in the new year.

A big thanks to the 239 people who have pledged their support so far!

If you haven’t already, please visit www.newmatilda.fundbreak.com.au and click on SUPPORT PROJECT.

The first 100 people from Melbourne and Sydney to email us at enquiriesATnewmatilda.com and tell us they have subscribed will receive a double pass to see the film Fair Game, based on the story of CIA operative Valerie Plame and adapted from her memoir Fair Game: My life as a spy, my betrayal by the White House.

We also have 10 double passes for subscribers from Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia (Sorry Territorians and Tasmanians!).

Please include the words FAIR GAME in the subject line.

A few people have said they are having issues with the Fundbreak donation system. If you are having ongoing problems, post a comment below and let us know what the issue is. Give us as much detail as possible so we can help.

Alternatively you can send us an email at enquiriesATnewmatilda.com, include your phone number, and we’ll give you a call to talk you through.

A common confusion seems to be over the login system. To donate, you will need to set up a NEW username with the Fundbreak site. This is different from your New Matilda login — which won’t work on the Fundbreak site. It’s very quick and easy to do.

If you are one of our early supporters, help spread the word by telling your friends, colleagues and family why NM is an important part of the Australian media.

We have 47 days left to keep this site alive!

Launched in 2004, New Matilda is one of Australia's oldest online independent publications. It's focus is on investigative journalism and analysis, with occasional smart arsery thrown in for reasons of sanity. New Matilda is owned and edited by Walkley Award and Human Rights Award winning journalist Chris Graham.
