Matthew Dornan is Deputy Director of the Development Policy Centre in the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University. His research primarily focuses on economic development in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific islands, and includes work on foreign aid; infrastructure access, development and regulation; and climate change adaptation. Matthew received his PhD from ANU and has a background in public policy and economics. He previously worked across the Pacific islands as part of the Australian aid program.
