Associate Professor Kristen Lyons & Dr Naomi Smith
Associate Professor Kristen Lyons is an environment and development sociologist based at the University of Queensland. She has served in advisory roles with Friends of the Earth, as well as the State and Federal Government on issues related to nanotechnology, including governance and public engagement. She is also a senior research fellow with the Californian based Oakland Institute. Dr Naomi Smith is a sociologist based at Federation University Australia who examines issues of technology and governance. Her current research projects examine intersection of health and wellness practices and new technologies, including social media. Naomi is interested in how technologies impact health and wellness, particularly in relation to our perceptions of food.
