A freebie for the Queensland Ambulance service (because our editor is now based up there, and he might need them some day!) If you’re a blackfella and live in the Sunshine State, Queensland Ambulance have 25 Indigenous-identified positions on offer.
There’s two job roles – a Cadet Ambulance officer (a pathway to becoming a Paramedic) and a Patient Transport Officer.
Aboriginal communities need ambos, and the job is one of the nation’s most trusted – Ambulance officers are consistently ranked amongst the most trusted professions in the country in the annual trust surveys (they’ve won it quite a few years running and are always in the top five).
You can find details on the Queensland Cadet Ambulance officer jobs here, and the Patient transport Officer positions here.
Even if you’re not interested, please share this post with family and friends on social media who you think might be – Queensland Ambulance will start recruiting for this in the next few weeks and opportunities like this don’t come up all that often (another story for another day).
