WIN One Of Ten Double Passes To Michael Moore’s Latest Blockbuster

By New Matilda

April 08, 2016

ADVERTORIAL: It’s no secret that Academy Award-winning director Michael Moore has some issues with America, but up until recently it was a secret that the US Military had tasked him with patching up all of his homeland’s ills.

It’s an American story so, naturally, it involves some invasions. Where To Invade Next takes Moore around the globe, to hunt for ways to solve the troubles plaguing the United States of America.

Asking the tough questions in his classically acerbic style, the controversial director of Bowling For Columbine brings American obnoxiousness to the shores of Italy, France, Germany and Tunisia, to commandeer policies and ideas that will improve the States.

He finds the answers to the USA’s sores – racism, university fees, corporatocracy, prisons and more – and brings them back to American shores. Hailed by reviewers as classic, if more merciful Moore, the film strikes a lighter tone to set a fire under all that’s wrong with the USA.

Rolling Stone says it “touches a nerve”, the New York Times says it makes you “squirm and consider what went wrong”, and the Huffington Post says it’s “perhaps his best, most hopeful, and solution-based film yet”.

New Matilda is giving ten paid subscribers the chance to win a double-pass to this enthralling travelogue-in-disguise, which is now showing in a cinema near you (probably).

* This competition is open to current New Matilda paid subscribers only. For your chance to win one of 10 double passes to see Where to Invade Next, tell us in 25 words or less your favourite Michael Moore film and why. Email your  answer here.
