The Hyde Park Obelisk has never looked so… safe.
If you’re not a fan of male body parts and prophylactics – in particular an enormous, pink condom – then you might want to stay away from the corner of Bathurst and Elizabeth Streets in Sydney this evening.
For there, in all its glory, is an enormous phallus/condom, adorning the Hyde Park Obelisk and leaving no-one in any doubt that this weekend is Mardi Gras.

“It’s very Mardi Gras and a good reminder to practice safe sex,” BJ noted.
Indeed. It’s also rather spectacular.
