Ian McAuley and Ben Eltham – New Matilda’s two main writers on economic issues – are, to put not too fine a point on it, thoroughly awesome.
Week in week out, they explain in simple terms what all those ‘economic thingies’ are, and how they play out politically.
But for all their uncontested brilliance, Ian and Ben are still not able to capture the nature of the economic system in one simple paragraph.
